I know nearly everyone in our class LOVES the Spurs and that is fine, but let’s see if we can all be honest on how much we love our team and most importantly WHY we love them. 

 I like the Spurs, but I love the Suns.  It’s pretty obvious why I like the Suns, since I was born and raised in Arizona and I have gone to Suns basketball games with my dad and brothers before.  I like them because they are fun to watch and they’ve never been a cocky or boring team to watch.  I know as Spur fans you may think otherwise, but that’s because you are Spur fans.  But it is a fact that the majority of basketball fans say that they enjoy watching the Suns and their coach is one of the most likeable coaches in all of the NBA.

Occasionally they get a player like Shaquile O’Neal who is a bit arrogant… meaning that he says he’s good, thinks he’s good, and knows he’s good.  So that’s not the normal Phoenix Suns attitude, and he has calmed down a lot since he’s gone to the Suns, and that is good. 

I also like the Spurs, and I like to support my NEW hometown.  So if the Suns drop out of the playoff race, (which of course they won’t… :o) ), then I will definitely support the Spurs.

 So tell me who your favorite basketball team is and don’t just say, “Suns are the best!”  or “Spurs rule forever!  Go Spurs Go!”  Tell me why you like them.

If you only like them because your mom or dad like them, then say that.  If you like the team because Mr. Peterson likes the team, then say that.  If you like your team because you’ve been to a basketball game before, then say that as well.  If you like your team because you love one of the players like Tony Romo or Manu Ginobili, then say that and why you like them.

And don’t forget… SUNS RULE! :o)
